Breast Augmentation: Patient 322

This 35 year old patient did not like the rippling that her 17 year old saline implants were giving her. She complained about feeling the edges of the implant at the bottoms and sides of her breasts. These are the most common places to feel breast implant edges when the implants are under the muscle. She also wanted to be slightly larger with more volume towards the center of her breasts. A revision breast augmentation was performed with 1) pocket tightening on the outsides of the breasts to close off wide pockets, pocket medialization to open the pockets towards the breastbone and to give her better cleavage, using a larger implant we chose 425cc from the 300cc that she had, and switching to silicone. Not only did I switch from saline to silicone which will help with rippling but I used 6th generation Motiva silicone breast implants. These breast implants have a monobloc construction which makes the silicone more of one piece with the shell than previous implants did and leads to even less rippling. She is shown here before and 6 weeks after surgery.
