Breast Augmentation: Patient 325

This is a 42 year old lady that wanted to achieve as natural of a shape with breast implants as possible. Given that she has very little natural tissue I explained to her that an implant is always going to look more like a breast implant than a natural breast does. That being said there are things I can do to make them look more natural. These include 1) pocket dissection which does not overemphasize cleavage and roundness. The shape of the pocket created matters! 2) Silicone is going to look more natural than saline and newer Motiva Ergonomic breast implants have a more natural shape and feel than the round version. The ergonomic is designed to move more like natural breast tissue. 3) Creating a pocket under the muscle instead of over the muscle or under the fascia. The muscle influence on the implant will give it a more natural upper pole. 4) Profile of the implant. A moderate or Demi profile implant will look more natural than a full or high profile implant does. This patient is shown 6 weeks after and before breast augmentation with Motiva Demi 340cc Ergonomic Breast Implants.
