Breast Augmentation: Patient 212

Breast Augmentation: Patient 212

This lady is being shown for an important reason.  When you look at her head-on (anterior) image her right breast seems to be a bit higher than the left.  Looking critically at her you will see that in the preoperative photo this right breast is also somewhat higher than the left.  Her shoulder is higher on this side and it is all likely due to some scoliosis and rib cage asymmetry.  These differences are normal, they are natural, and they will follow through after augmentation.  Attempting to lower the right breast to match the left is frought with potential complications and lowering her fold here would likely lead to bottoming out over time.  It is important to discuss asymmetries with patients prior to surgery and I try to show them what I can and cannot achieve.  Example cases like this (which are still a beautiful result in my opinion) show these limitations.  She is shown here before and after placement of Allergan SoftTouch SSF 345cc on the left and 365cc on the right which accounts for the size but not the positional asymmetry.
