This is a 26 year old patient that came to me from the Jersey Shore for breast augmentation. She wanted to better fill out her clothes and feel more proportional. A nice thing that this case points out is that a relative small 265cc full profile Allergan soft touch gummy bear implant was used here but took her from a B to a D cup as she weighs around 100lbs at 5 foot 2 inches. This same implant on a lady who is 5 foot 10 inches would look very different and not give as much as a size increase. Many patients pick up a sample implant and say "what size is this" and it comes down to multiple factors including starting amount of breast tissue, height and weight, and overall tissue elasticity and quality. Thus we help in the consultation process to learn your goals and make best recommendations based on each individual's physical exam.
