This is a lovely 34 year old patient that came to me as she felt that her breasts were deflated after having a baby 10 years ago and breast feeding. She has asymmetry with her left breast starting larger and they both have a slightly different shape with a small amount of drooping to them. When a patient like this comes in I need to try to explain to them what I can and cannot achieve. I cannot achieve perfect symmetry. I can get the breasts to be closer in appearance with two differently sized implants but they are not going to be exactly the same in volume or shape. You can see in her photos how the breasts have slightly different shape in addition to the size difference and this carries through after the breast augmentation even though I used two different sized implants. Differences like this are common and expected and the norm not the exception. She is shown here after muscle sparing subfascial breast augmentation with a 425cc full profile SRF breast implant on the right and a 400cc full profile SRF breast implant on the left. These photographs are 6 weeks after her surgery and she has a beautiful early result. A very nice thing about Motiva breast implants is that because of the SmoothSilk shell we are able to perform a muscle sparing subfascial placement with a very low risk of capsular contracture compared to previous generations of strictly smooth shelled breast implants.
